Simple destop program By cre8iveq on Dec 4 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

The purpose of this software is to display subliminal written messages on the users computer screen on a frequent basis. Subliminal simply means “below concious threshold”, and the way we are going to do that is by flashing the message so quickly, and slightly transparently, that the users concious mind can not detect them (yet the sub concious mind can). Of course it will be the user that determines what messages will be displayed.
It can be done in any programming language you like. I require a PC version and a MAC version, with an install package for each. Please see attached file for detailed spec and wireframe.
Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)Â…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc... vWorker.com normally requires that the worker verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components.  If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your project?Yes, I require the worker to query my hosting company in advance, to ensure that they support all components which the worker uses in the final solution (including supporting the anticipated version #s, allowing components to run under their potentially restricted security model, etc.)

Three views of HTML5/CSS for an app to read newspa ... By amitkoth on Nov 29 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

The general site allows you to read a newspaper on an iPad. You can see a list of newspapers, tap to get into one newspaper which shows the stories for that newspaper. Finally, tap a story to see the story. It's quite simple really. A full brief is below. You are only bidding to deliver two iterations of visual design and the actual HTML5/CSS markup which behaves responsively - define how many viewports and orientations you will cover. Please see detailed requirements for more.
Detailed Requirements:Summary------------I require flat HTML5/CSS markup for a web application to provide an optimized, highly legible reading experience for published stories. Using modern web technologies, the app will seamlessly deliver a device-agnostic, consistent experience across any number of screen sizes; from desktop, to tablet to mobile using responsive design. The project requires only three views of HTML5/CSS delivered after two iterations of visual design. The deliverable is therefore 3 pages with the associated CSS for all of them.Given the simplicity of this project and the very clear deliverables and two iteration visual design cycle - I expect quotes for a fixed total cost.Outline----------The reading application can be simplified to three general views.List of publications* Newspaper (client) name and identity* Chronological list of publications* Basic pagination: previous, next* List items include title and date* List items include a thumbnail image snapshot of the front page (TBD)Publication: List of stories* Newspaper (client) name and identity* Link back to publications index* Current publication: title* Current publication: date* Current publication: list of stories, ordered alphabetically / by submission* Current publication: list of stories, sorted by section (eg “Editor’s Note”)* Current publication: list of stories, list items include a thumbnail view of the story featured image (TBD)Story* Newspaper (client) name and identity* Story: title* Story: author* Story: one featured image, set maximum height* Story: text output, no special formatting* Setting to increase/decrease font size* Link to next story in publication* Link back to publication: list of storiesDeliverables---------------The work is delivered in two stages.1. Visual designsOne mockup for each of the above three views for a total of two designs. The designs will focus on a reading experience as optimized for the iPad tablet. Further views, including desktop and mobile phone, will be designed as the application is developed - not part of this project, but a followup project. The two visuals are a broad vision of the project, and require sign-off. Ideally, designs will have the background colour of the Financial Times.Visuals mockups should arrive as first iteration, and then take on my feedback. And then second iteration and final feedback, and then straight to building markup and CSS.2. HTML5/CSS3 markup delivery

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Text based golf game for iPhone or iPad By Command Center on Nov 28 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

I'm a blind user of an iPhone, and would like to have a golf game designd for the Voiceover TTS in iOS.Enable Voiceoverunder Settings\General\Accessibility, so you can understand how this will work.Gameplay:1. The game will select a course, and announce the distance to the hole, par, environment, etc.2. A prompt will ask the user to select a club.3. The user will tap to click a launch button that will swing the club. Depending on how long the button is held then released, the swing will launch the virtual ball farther.E.G: For a short putt, one only needs to tap and hold for a second or two. FOr a lengthy put, the launcher will be tapped and held for up to 10 seconds - for the most powerful swing.4. Depending on the distance traveled, the next prompt will indicate the status, plus the distance remaining to the green, then the distance to the hole.5. At the completion of each subsequent hole, the user will be informed of the progress.6. THis will continue for the 18 holes, at which point, the prompt will inform the user of the total scores, and prompt to save.THe selection of the course, distances, etc, should be randomized.I will provide audio clips to use for the swing, ball, applause, etc.Feel free to discuss this with me further.
