Facebook API Development By MediaNd on Dec 5 Max Bid: $21.25

LongDesc:

I am developing a Facebook app that appears in the standard Facebook iframe. I would like for FB users to accept my app, create a customized decorated art piece, and then put a tab on a fan page so that visitors to their FB fan page can click the link and have my FB app come up with the art.
I already have all my work done for the art creation itself and have even gotten the FB app happening. My question is how to do the other parts ...
1. After the user has created their art then they can bring up a dialog which list all of the fan pages that they have created or have admin rights to.
2. They select the fan page.
3. A tab ( bookmark ? ) is created on that fan page which links to my FB app and can bring up my app along with a designation that will bring it up with their art loaded.
This is not for a working example, but rather a written outline of the process with code snippets or links to resources for each of the three steps above. Thats it!
Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)Â…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Facebook social app help needed(repost) By lohengrin on Dec 5 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

BACKGROUND INFORMATIONI recently had three Facebook social apps / plugins added to my website: Facebook Login, Facepile and Friendfinder. Unfortunately, the coder didn't provide me with access to the Facebook Developer Account, so I can’t make any changes. Also, from what I've been told the site is now at risk because anyone with access could just delete the apps via the Facebook account and the apps would stop working on my site. PROJECT REQUIREMENTSThere are two parts to this project: 1) I need a need a talented PHP coder with plenty of experience integrating Facebook social apps that understands the problem and can provide a solution. It was suggested that in order to fix this I just need to make a new Facebook Developer Account and change the APP ID in the site code to the one for the new account. Since I’m unfamiliar with the inner workings of the apps I have no idea if this would fix the problem and need a second opinion.2) Once a solution has been found I need the coder to go ahead and make the changes. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe website is coded in PHP and uses a MySQL database. The Facebook login and Facepile apps / plugins have been modified slightly so that they work better with the site features. Due to the modifications made I want the code to remain unchanged (with the exception of the ID).

iPad Application By BuzzD on Dec 2 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

Application Overview
We are looking for an iPad application (or webapp that can be made to run on the iPad as a dominant screen) to display orders for cashiers. The cashier should be able to login, see new orders, confirm delivery/payment, and view order history. This is not a point-of-sale system, as the cashier does not modify orders, only confirm that the order has been delivered. The cashier should also be able to print to a thermal printer (such as this: http://www.starasia.com/productshow.asp?ID=148) from the application, just displaying the order number. The system needs to operate in real time and be able to send confirmations to the database.
You will be provided with the wireframes and database definitions. Experience Preferred
- iOS and Objective C
- SQLite
- Ruby/Django/PHP
Requirements
- Write app using native Apple tools, be confident in adding in-app purchases, in app ads, social sharing integration
- Application must be approved and published in the Apple store before payment is remitted
- Provide fully commented (in English) code after project is completed
- Provide support on submitting the application to AppStore
- Application must be tested on iPad, of current and previous generation
- Provide support in fixing bugs (no new features) within a month after app is published in AppStore
- Provide price for ongoing support after development
Next Steps
- Sign NDA
- Provide rough estimate of cost AND time needed to build the application, but include additional push functionality for delivery delay messages
- Provide examples of published iPhone/iPad applications in Apple AppStore (please provide links, and indicate if the architecture and layout design was developed by you or the client)

Hello,
I am also planning to start a web shop of posters. I have looked and I think magento is really the best way to go. I am looking for someone who can help me to install a template that I plan to buy on template monster (or another site, if you know any), and then change maybe some things in it. I don't know how much work it will be, but I hope someone has template tuning experience for magento.
I am open to suggestions and please send me some work of what you have done in the past, so that we can see how we can work together.

SELinux install and configuration By neudemo on Dec 2 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

Your job will be to install 64bit "Oracle Unbreakable Linux Server release 6.1" (Same as RedHat 6.1 and CentOS 6.1) on either a vmware virtual PC or a real machine, and to configure SELinux to my specifications (below).
The deliverables for this project are the relevant kickstart and/or configuration files, and detailed instructions for me to follow to reproduce your steps to reach the same end result, which is:
A) The SELinux configuration must not allow unauthorized users to modify, rename, erased, or move executable and system files (eg: /bin/* and /sbin/* etc).
B) The root "superuser" must not be allowed to authorize system-file-changes. A different user (eg: "semanager") must be set up who can grant authority for changes. this different user must not be allowed to perform those changes though.
C) In general - system changes must require 2 different people to agree before they can be implemented - someone to authorize the change, and a different person (probably root) to make the change.
D) The "root" user must not have a "back door" that lets him change stuff anyhow - eg - he must not be able to impersonate the "semanager", and root must not be allowed to trigger a relabel or any other action that might allow unauthorized system modifications to be accepted.
E) Finally - instructions must be provided to me that will show me how the "semanager" user can authorize various things, including at least:
E1) Allowing changed system binaries to be accepted
E2) Easily adding new rules as required (eg: to allow Apache to access certain new folders, or whatever other normal system issues come up from day to day)

Customize AuctionWorx multi seller auction site wi ... By msLaura on Dec 1 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

I am starting an auction website to sell used baby gear (multi-sellers), and I'm interested in using AuctionWorx software as the platform: http://www.rainworx.com/AuctionWorx, with PayPal as the payment method.
Right now payments happen like this:
1) A Seller lists a product for sale.
2) A Buyer purchases it, or wins the auction.
3) An invoice is generated from Seller to Buyer.
4) Buyer pays Seller the full price.
5) I have to invoice the Seller for my final value percentage, keep on top of whether or not they've paid me, and wait for the payment to come in.
I don't want it work like that. I want to use the PayPal Adaptive Payments API in order to split or chain payments made on the website, so that every time a Buyer pays a Seller, my 10% final value fee is automatically split off and sent to me at my PayPal email address. The Seller receives the rest.
More info an PayPal Adaptive Payments: http://paymentsviews.com/2009/07/24/paypal-adaptive-payments/
If I can be sure that the AuctionWorx software can be modified to work like this, and the quote is reasonable for customization, I will buy it right away and start moving forward with this project. But I need to be sure that this can be done, and get a quote for achieving it. Can you help?

Project Type:
What kind of work do you need done?Software related (Includes desktop applications and internet websites)
Project Parts:
What do you want the worker to do on this project?

Requirements:
The worker will analyze the problem and propose a software-based solution to the problem.
Programming:
The worker will take the requirements and translate them into the language of the computer (and test it).
User installation:
The installer will move the software from the place it was created (which is called the development or QC environment) to where you will use it (which is called the production environment). The installer then tests the software to make sure that the installation was done properly and completely.

Req. Doc. Type:
What kind of documentation do you want for this project?Formal documentation - After talking back and forth, the worker creates a formal document and/or prototype, as follows:Prototype: The analyst will create a non-working mockup of all pages/screens in the final software. Creating a prototype makes it easier for the user to visualize the final software, and reduces misunderstandings.Requirements Document: The analyst will create a document describing everything the final software will do (other than what is documented in the prototype...if the employer required one).
Program Type:
What kind of software should the worker create (and/or install)? An internet web-site: This software runs on a web server and users will access it using their internet browser.
Internet web-site info

Design and functionality:
What does the programming of this project involve?Program Functionality: Making the website "work".
Modeling another site:
Do you wish to model another site? No
Size of website:
How many pages need to be created/edited in this website?I don't know. Other info:It's not that many pages that would need to be altered, it's the behind-the-scenes method of payment through PayPal.
The process of an invoice sent from Seller to Buyer, Buyer paying invoice, Me invoicing Seller for the final value percentage and Seller paying me would be compressed to: Seller invoices Buyer. Buyer pays invoice and my final value percentage is automatically split from that payment and redirected to my PayPal email, while the remainder is sent to the Seller's PayPal email address.
Programming Language:
What programming language(s) do you want your website written in?I do know the language(s).Languages(s):ASP .NETOther: PayPal API
Database:
Will this project include a database?Yes, it does include a database.Details:MySQL -- version(s): 7
Browser Type(s)/Version(s):
Which browser/version combinations must this website support?IE 8.0IE 7.0IE 6.0Firefox 3.6Firefox 3.0Safari 41
Server Hosting Environment:
What is your server hosting environment?I have a server at a 3rd party hosting company. The name of the hosting company is: GoDaddyThe server's shared/dedicated status is: Shared with other people.Component Compatibility Protection:Sometimes a worker may create features on the website that rely on componentswhich work fine on their own server, but won't work with your 3rd party hosting company's server. There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc... vWorker.com normally requires that the worker verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components.  If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your project?Yes, I require the worker to query my hosting company in advance, to ensure that they support all components which the worker uses in the final solution (including supporting the anticipated version #s, allowing components to run under their potentially restricted security model, etc.)
Server Hosting Environment:
Will the worker develop "live" on your server?Yes. The worker may develop live on my production server.
Physical installation:
Who will perform the physical installation? The worker will perform the physical installation, and will be given all necessary permissions to do so.
Legal:

1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future).
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
2b) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed in ready-to-run condition in the employer's environment (unless overridden otherwise by the employer elsewhere in this contract.
2c) If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the employer's environment) then they must be installed by the winning worker in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the employer).
2d) All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the employer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this project (unless specified elsewhere by the employer).
3) Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work paid for. All paid for deliverables will be considered 'work made for hire' under U.S. Copyright law.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's 'Worker Legal Agreement'.

Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)Â…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

for this project.
