MAC Splash Screen Application By Ziracote on Dec 3 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

I need a small application designed for a MAC that shows a splash screen while opening another application. The application needs to run in all versions of OS X, PowerPC and Intel. If the application is run on anything under OS X 10.4, display a message saying that the program doesn’t run in that version of MAC. The message will come from a text file, labeled ‘settings.ini’, that the application will need to open. The application needs to be a small as possible so that it opens quickly.
Detailed Requirements:Program Logic:On opening application, locate the “system” folder located in the same folder as the application and open the ‘settings.ini’ file located in the “system” folder.
Check the operating system version, if below 10.4, show a message saying the program doesn’t run in that version of MAC. The message is in the settings.ini file on the row starting with InvalidVersion=.
Find the SplashScreenPicture setting in the settings.ini file. It can contain path information to the file. The path information is relative to the folder the application is contained in. The picture can be either a bmp or png file.
Create a splash screen window using the picture and show it on screen.
5. Get the ApplicationFile setting from the settings.ini file. Run the file. The ApplicationFile setting can contain path information to the file. The information is relative to the folder the splash screen application is contained in.
Close the splash screen once the application listed in ApplicationFile has finished loading or after a set time has passed. The time will be stored in the ShowSplashScreenTime setting in the settings.ini file. The time will be in milliseconds. So, 3 seconds will be 3000.
Close the splash screen application

Settings.ini file example:
InvalidVersion=This application works only in OS X 10.4 Tiger and above
SplashScreenPicture=system/pictures/splash.png
ApplicationFile=system/helloworld
ShowSplashScreenTime=3000

Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)Â…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Text based golf game for iPhone or iPad By Command Center on Nov 28 Max Bid: Open to fair suggestions

LongDesc:

I'm a blind user of an iPhone, and would like to have a golf game designd for the Voiceover TTS in iOS.Enable Voiceoverunder Settings\General\Accessibility, so you can understand how this will work.Gameplay:1. The game will select a course, and announce the distance to the hole, par, environment, etc.2. A prompt will ask the user to select a club.3. The user will tap to click a launch button that will swing the club. Depending on how long the button is held then released, the swing will launch the virtual ball farther.E.G: For a short putt, one only needs to tap and hold for a second or two. FOr a lengthy put, the launcher will be tapped and held for up to 10 seconds - for the most powerful swing.4. Depending on the distance traveled, the next prompt will indicate the status, plus the distance remaining to the green, then the distance to the hole.5. At the completion of each subsequent hole, the user will be informed of the progress.6. THis will continue for the 18 holes, at which point, the prompt will inform the user of the total scores, and prompt to save.THe selection of the course, distances, etc, should be randomized.I will provide audio clips to use for the swing, ball, applause, etc.Feel free to discuss this with me further.

2d) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed as described elsewhere by the employer.
2e) If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the employer's environment) then they must be installed by the worker in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the employer).
2f) All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the employer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this project (unless specified elsewhere by the employer).
3) All deliverables will be considered 'work made for hire' under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's 'Worker Legal Agreement'.
Detailed Requirements:
Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)Â…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.

Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say “testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work”).
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all pay-for-deliverables business projects violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc... vWorker.com normally requires that the worker verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components.  If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your project? No, I will be responsible for any components of the final solution that do not work with my hosting company.
