Project is to provide a program to gathercomplete product information from a specific Vendor web site.  The Product information will be formatted ina XLS file such that it can be imported into the product database and displayedin our shopping cart program, VirtueMart.Given a product price list in XLS formatcontaining some product information (specified),  the program must create a XLS spreadsheetwith the specified fields and copy the product image to a subdirectory.  The scraping program will be run from ourserver and store output on our server.The server is a shared server and there are execution time limits thatcan NOT be modified.  The program mustallow for this either by stopping and starting automatically or by cachingoutput and resuming from where it left off.The program will output a file for upload to the shopping cart, images and a spreadsheet indicating products whose price differ from the calculated price.We need the source of the scraping program so that minor modifications can be made in house. Full specifications will be provided.
