We require a Linux based OS for thin clients with primarily x86 architecture. Mostly Intel Atom Integrated and Via motherboards. May be AMD Goede series too. Storeage device, either 1GB or 2GB DOM.The following features are required:- Quick boot in less than 10 seconds- Protocols: RDP, ICA, XDMCP, VNC viewer and server- Network option: terminal/computer name and option to set IP address manually or automatically by DHCP- Printers - Auto detection of printers on USB/Parallel port/manually select. Printers to be shared on the network.- Option to enable/disable USB based storage devices- Display option: screen resolutions of 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024. Colour depth: 16 bit/24 bit.- Applications: Open office, MS Firefox - Java enabled, flash supported, Media player to play media files locally (including DVD format if possible without codec license infringement), skype, possibly a messenger - Devices: must be able to run webcam and voice chat- All the above features to be protected by an admin/password, so that users can edit/modify nothing except the screen resolution.- Entire OS to be write protected to prevent corruption. With an option to revert to "factory settings" in case of forgetting the admin/root password.- If possible, the OS has to be machine specific i.e. the OS should not run if the DOM is removed and put into another identical machine.Platform:

All deliverables must be uploaded to vWorker.com before the deadline(s) for this project...with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible for a competent person to do this, then do not start this project...but instead alert vWorker.com of an un-arbitratable, illegal project.
